🇬🇧 | “Seeing a young fan fall ill in the Curva while watching Como-Frosinone back in February 2023 left a deep impression on me. Saving him convinced me even more of the importance of proper first-aid education.”
In February 2023, during the Como-Frosinone game, Massimiliano Del Caro saved the life of a young fan who had a heart attack in the stands. Following that experience, he helped organise in collaboration with Como 1907 and the Comocuore Onlus association, in the morning of May 4 at the Sinigaglia, a first aid course for around 150 high school students from the Como province. The event was also supported by @acquasanbernardo and @coopitalia.
“Knowing CPR techniques is important for everyone. The sooner you intervene, the higher the chance of survival as the first intervention is crucial! It should be taught, together with the Heimlich manoeuvres, from primary school onwards, with refreshers every year. It will allow people intervene in a safe and better way.”
🇮🇹 | “L’episodio del febbraio 2023, quando un giovane tifoso ebbe un malore in curva guardando Como-Frosinone, mi ha segnato nel profondo. Il lieto fine mi ha convinto sempre più dell’importanza di una preparazione adeguata nei cittadini. La mia passione per il Como e per il mio lavoro hanno fatto il resto e permesso la creazione di questo evento”.
Nel febbraio 2023, durante la partita Como-Frosinone, Massimiliano Del Caro salvò la vita a un giovane tifoso che ebbe un malore sugli spalti. In seguito a quell’esperienza, ha contribuito a organizzare in collaborazione con il Como 1907 e l’associazione Comocuore Onlus, nella mattinata del 4 maggio al Sinigaglia, un corso di primo soccorso per circa 150 studenti delle scuole superiori della provincia di Como. L’evento è stato sostenuto anche da @acquasanbernardo e @coopitalia.
“Conoscere queste tecniche è fondamentale. Prima si interviene, più la possibilità di sopravvivere aumenta. I cittadini nel primo intervento sono fondamentali! Dovrebbe essere insegnato, unitamente alle manovre di disostruzione, fin dalle elementari, con richiami ogni anno. L’allenamento e la ripetizione aiutano ad intervenire con più sicurezza e in modo migliore”.
🇬🇧 | The U16 of Como 1907 at Sinigaglia for the round of 16 of the Allievi Nazionali Playoff!
Como 1907’s U16 team has cemented its presence in the finals of the Serie A and B Allievi Nazionali Championship for the second consecutive year, in a competition that involves 40 clubs, equally shared between Serie A and Serie B.
After an excellent season in last year’s U15 tournament, reaching the semi-finals by eliminating notable opponents such as Monza and Milan, the Lariani finished fifth in the B round for the 23/24 season. Now, they will face Roma, runners-up in group C, in the first leg of the round of 16.
Massimo Cicconi, coach of the U16 of Como 1907, comments: “Reaching the play-offs for the second year in a row is an excellent result, especially after winning last year’s championship. We have shown that we can compete at a high level, competing against prestigious opponents such as Atalanta, Milan, Inter, Verona and Monza. We are going to put our hearts on the pitch and play to the best of our ability.”
The match is set for Sunday 12 May at 11:00 am at the Sinigaglia stadium. We invite all fans to attend and support our young talents. The entrance at Gate 11 will be open from 10 a.m., with free admission. Tickets will be issued indicating the seats.
🇮🇹 | L’U16 del Como 1907 al Sinigaglia per gli ottavi di finale dei Playoff Nazionali!
Dopo un’ottima stagione nel torneo U15 dello scorso anno, con il raggiungimento delle semifinali eliminando avversari di rilievo come Monza e Milan, i lariani si sono classificati al quinto posto nel girone B 23/24. Ora, il loro cammino li porta ad affrontare la Roma, seconda classificata nel girone C, nella partita d’andata degli ottavi di finale.
L’appuntamento è fissato per Domenica 12 Maggio alle ore 11:00 presso lo stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Invitiamo tutti i tifosi a partecipare e sostenere i nostri giovani talenti. I cancelli del gate 11 saranno aperti dalle ore 10, e l’ingresso sarà gratuito. Saranno emessi dei tagliandi che indicheranno il posto a sedere.

🇬🇧 | “I’ve been a Como fan for 40 years. My father used to take me to the stadium since I was 10 years old. I started working in my profession at the age of 15 and fell in love with this job because it helped me connect with people. I wanted to open my own bar that would incorporate everything I love. When you come in, you know what team to cheer for: Como 1907. Everything else comes second.”
Lorenzo Stocco, ex-owner of Caffecchio in Cantù, first opened the bar in 2012. He created Caffecchio to bring people closer to the team he loves most. Caffecchio was also a Como 1907 bar partner. For every win, Caffecchio offered free drinks to those seated at the final whistle.
Now, Lorenzo decided to move on to another challenge after 12 long years, to which he commented, “I have no regrets. In all these years, I’ve achieved what I’ve dreamt.”
Prior to the bar closing, during the Catanzaro-Como match on April 12th 2024, Caffecchio held a screening with several die-hard Como fans. Watch the episode on Como TV (Link in stories).
🇮🇹 | “Sono un tifoso del Como da 40 anni. Mio padre mi portava allo stadio da quando avevo 10 anni. Ho iniziato a dedicarmi alla mia professione all’età di 15 anni e mi sono innamorato di questo lavoro perché mi ha permesso di stringere rapporti con le persone. Volevo aprire un bar tutto mio che incorporasse tutto ciò che amo. Quando si entra, si sa per quale squadra tifare: Como 1907. Tutto il resto viene in secondo piano”.
Lorenzo Stocco, ex proprietario del Caffecchio a Cantù, ha aperto il bar nel 2012. Ha creato il Caffecchio per avvicinare le persone alla squadra che ama di più, è stato anche un bar partner del Como 1907. Per ogni vittoria, offriva bevande gratuite a chi era seduto al fischio finale.
Ora, Lorenzo ha deciso di passare a un’altra sfida dopo 12 lunghi anni e ha commentato: “Non ho rimpianti. In tutti questi anni ho realizzato quello che sognavo”.
Prima della chiusura del bar, in occasione della partita Catanzaro-Como del 12 aprile 2024, il Caffecchio ha organizzato una proiezione con alcuni tifosi appassionati del Como 1907. Guarda la puntata su Como TV (link nelle storie).

These players, they train and work their whole life for situations like this. They’ve dreamt about these moments, and to have them in your career is not something that every professional football player gets. We’re all in a privileged position and if our players want to write themselves into the history book, this is their moment to do so.”
At today’s press conference, Osian Roberts spoke about the significance of Friday’s home match against Cosenza and the role of the fans in the final game of the regular season.
“Of course we will have the players on the field, but we will also have the 12th player on Friday; the supporters of Como. The Sinigaglia Stadium is completely sold out. Everybody can’t wait for the game. Since I’ve been here the fans never let us down and I know they won’t let us down on Friday.”
🇮🇹 l “È il tipo di partita che non capita a molti di fare nella propria vita e non vediamo l’ora di giocarla. Dobbiamo sfruttare questa opportunità. I giocatori si allenano e lavorano tutta la vita per situazioni come queste. Hanno sognato questi momenti, e averli nella propria carriera non è una cosa che capita a tutti i professionisti. Siamo in una posizione privilegiata e se i nostri giocatori vogliono entrare nel libro della storia, questo è il loro momento per farlo”.
Nella conferenza stampa di oggi, l’allenatore ad interim, Osian Roberts, ha parlato del significato della partita di Venerdì in casa contro il Cosenza e del ruolo dei tifosi nell’ultima partita di campionato.
“Oltre ai giocatori, Venerdì avremo anche un dodicesimo uomo in campo: i tifosi. Ci sarà un Sinigaglia da sold-out. Da quando sono qui la tifoseria ci ha sempre sostenuto e sono certo che anche venerdì ci daranno una grande spinta”.
🇬🇧 | “I first came to Como two years ago. Initially I fell in love with the city for its stunning natural beauty, historic villas and picturesque towns. However, since I live in Indonesia, my friends there are fascinated with Como 1907 and as an avid football fan myself, they got me intrigued with the club! On my first visit, I came with my friend Raphael Maitimo, a former Indonesian National team player. We saw Como-Südtirol at the Sinigaglia. Unfortunately Como 1907 lost that game, but this time around it’s completely different.”
Dutch-Indonesian couple Sjoerd and Tania traveled from Bali, Indonesia and were present at the Como-Cittadella match. After Sjoerd’s initial visit to Como, he was determined to come back. He shared the highlights of his different trips.
“Now I’m here with my partner Tania, and the atmosphere has changed a lot! The game was full of twists and turn! Despite the opposition scoring first, Como 1907 immediately responded with an equaliser and even managed to get the winner in injury time. It was Tania’s first time at a live football game and what a game it was for her! Surprisingly, she became really interested with the rules of football and I’m super happy with that.
“At the Como-Cittadella game, the stadium was fully packed and the fans were way more passionate, which I love to see. I sat next to an older Italian guy who was there with his wife and two kids. He was full of energy the entire game! Regardless if it was a chance or a foul, he always had something to say! When Como 1907 scored the winning goal in injury time, he went ballistic and gave me a really big hug. It was as if he knew me his whole life!“
🇬🇧 | “The team played a great match against a very strong opponent, as shown by their position in the standings. I’m very pleased with the boys’ performance; they were eager to end the home fixtures with a victory, which is important. It demonstrates growth in character and mental strength, regardless of the game’s importance.”
Como 1907’s Primavera coach, Daniele Buzzegoli, shared his thoughts on the last home match of the season against Udinese on Saturday, 4th May, which ended 4-3 in Como’s favour. Buzzegoli reflected on the match from his perspective.
“I believe the most critical moment in the match was when the opponent took the lead early. After conceding six goals in the previous match, we worked hard all week to stay focused and tighten our defence. The players fought back strongly, and I’m genuinely satisfied with how positively they responded after conceding a goal just six minutes into the game.”
🇮🇹| “La squadra ha fatto un’ottima partita, abbiamo giocato contro una squadra molto forte, ciò lo testimonia la sua posizione in classifica, sono molto contento della prestazione dei ragazzi che hanno voluto chiudere il percorso casalingo con una vittoria e questo è importante, va a dimostrare una crescita sia livello a caratteriale che mentale indipendentemente da quanto siano importanti.”
L’ allenatore della Primavera del Como 1907, Daniele Buzzegoli, analizza l’ultima partita in casa della stagione contro l’Udinese di Sabato 4 Maggio, conclusa 4 a 3 per i ragazzi del Como. Buzzegoli descrive la partita affrontata dal proprio punto di vista.
“Il momento cruciale dell’ultima partita penso che sia stato dopo il loro uno a zero loro siccome venivamo da sei gol presi e avevamo lavorato tanto durante la settimana sul fatto di stare attenti e a cercare di limitare un pochino le nostre lacune difensive, ma invece la squadra ha reagito in maniera forte. Onestamente sono contento che la squadra sia stata in grado di rispondere in modo positivo dopo un ostacolo presentato dopo solo 6 min dall’inizio.”
🇬🇧 | “I support Como and only Como. My father took me to the Sinigaglia for the first time in 1979, when I was only five years old. Back then the stadium still had the cycling velodrome. Funny enough, my family somehow always had ties with Como players. My dad and Stefano Borgonovo were friends, and one time we even went to Borgonovo’s house; he was such a kind and humble man! When I was younger, I played football in Tavernerio, the same team as @patrickcutrone ‘s father, Pasquale Cutrone. He was a very good leader, I see where Patrick gets his qualities from. Although Patrick’s father was a defender, he specialised in scoring penalty kicks!”
Veteran Como 1907 fan Maurizio Malacarne was present at Stadio Sinigaglia alongside his two daughters Agata and Margherita, his girlfriend Elisa as well as her son Alex for the Como-Cittadella match. Maurizio reminisced on how his journey as a Como fan began and spoke about passing down his passion for the biancoblu to his two daughters.
“My most memorable Como match was the away match between AC Milan and Como on January 13th 1985. I was about 11 years old then, and I came with my father. It was played on the snow, and the Milan players didn’t have the proper shoes for this, so they were gliding on the pitch like they were on skis! Then, this year, when Como played against Sampdoria away, I took my 11-year-old daughter Agata and my eight-year-old daughter Margherita to their first ever away game. When Cutrone scored, they celebrated like crazy! Now Agata is telling me she wants to start playing football! I’m happy that I’ve successfully passed down this passion of mine to my daughters, the same way my father did to me.”
